Acting
What do students do?
🎭 Perform 2–3 monologues from published plays (2–3 mins each)
💬 Answer theory questions on character choices, preparation, and the playwright’s intention
🗣️ Develop performance skills like voice, body language, timing, and stage presence
Even if your child doesn’t want to be an actor, acting builds confidence, empathy, and communication skills – and playing a character can make speaking up feel easier.
Musical Theatre
What do students do?
🎶 Perform 2 or 3 songs from published musicals (e.g. Matilda, Annie, Les Mis)
💃 Act through song, using facial expression, posture, and voice to tell the story
🎤 Answer questions (at higher levels) about the characters, mood, and vocal technique
This is the ultimate confidence-builder – combining singing, acting and performance in a way that’s fun, creative and joyful, even for nervous singers.
Shakespeare
What do students do?
🎭 Perform monologues from Shakespeare’s plays
📖 Answer questions about meaning, character, rhythm, and the playwright’s language
🗣️ Learn how to speak Shakespeare with clarity, fluency, and emotional depth
Shakespeare isn’t just for experts! His characters feel big emotions and tell big stories – once students unlock the language, they often love it. A brilliant prep for drama school or English Literature studies at school!

Speaking in Public
What do students do?
🗣️ Prepare and deliver speeches that inform, persuade, or reflect personal experience
👀 Practise conversation skills like asking appropriate questions and active listening
🎤 Learn real-world communication skills like eye contact, body language, and vocal projection
This exam builds quiet confidence and helps students find their voice—great for anyone who wants to feel more at ease in presentations, school interviews, or public settings.
Verse & Prose
What do students do?
📚 Perform two short pieces—one poem and one story passage from memory
👂 Answer questions about meaning, rhythm, characters, and language techniques
🗣️ Learn to speak with clarity and expression, using voice and body to bring words to life
This is perfect for young people who love stories, language or reading aloud – but it’s also great for anyone learning to speak clearly, confidently and with imagination.
